Events and Nets

Weekly nets are held every Sunday at 7:00pm CST.

Emergency nets will be conducted as needed. During times of destructive or dangerous weather in our area, a severe weather net will be conducted. We can be considered to be in a “soft net” or informal net in the event of a Tornado watch, or other severe weather advisories that are not of immediate concern to life or property but could be upgraded in threat level.

And now we have the neighborhood check in net Saturday at noon. It’s a check in only net unless someone has traffic to pass, if for some reason you don’t hear a net controller, give a check in anyway. There will probably be others waiting to check in, so feel free to designate yourself net control.

The repeater is available for nets anytime that one is not previously scheduled. There is no need to schedule it but your check in count may be higher if you do. Please note that there may be people at times break in and request to make quick contact. That can be disruptive to the flow of the net, but we do pause for priority or emergency traffic. The caller should use discernment regarding the level of priority to the net and interruptions should be kept as brief as possible. Also remember to keep everything within the bounds of the law, FCC or otherwise.

Oklahoma GMRS Club is inviting you to a Zoom meeting on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
