Getting Connected

Click here for FCC video tutorials on registering your username and associating your username with an FRN. If you do not have a GMRS license, follow these instructions.

First, register on the FCC website. You can get to this page by also going to FCC.gov and hovering over the licensing & database tab, then click ULS.

Next, register your FRN, use the video tutorials link above for reference if you have any trouble. No direct link is available due to needing to be logged in under your username. After Registering with the FCC website and obtaining an FRN associated with your username you will be ready to file for your specific license.

Click here to go directly go to the filing page. or go to fcc.gov and once again hover over the “licensing and database” tab and click on ULS. You will log in with your FRN and same password you used for your username login.

Once you are in the ULS system click on apply for new license at the top of the menu on the left-hand side of your screen. this will bring you to a new page with a drop-down menu where you can select the license you would like to apply for. In this case it will be a GMRS license or as labeled at the very bottom of the menu, ZA-General Mobile Radio Service. Fill out the prompted Questions and answer all questions with the proper information. Pay your $35 dollar filing fee to the FCC and wait for you call sign to be issued. Once you have received the Email with your callsign or it has shown up on the FCC database you are ready to transmit on the repeater. Follow the block of instruction below to access the repeater.

GMRS

Get connected on GMRS. We are on 462.650MHz with a TX PL Tone of 141.3Hz and an offset of +5MHz. This will be the channel 19 GMRS repeater on a pre-programmed radio. We do not use a PL tone for the receive side of your radio so leave your RX tone open or off.
